The NBA’s current expansion draft rules:
- Expansion teams will get to “steal” unprotected players from teams
- Teams can protect 8 of their players
- Teams can’t protect players on expiring contracts or restricted free agents
- Only one player taken per team
- Contracts transfer as they are
- Expansion teams get good NBA Draft chances at No. 1 pick

With expansion in the NBA on the way, they need to add another roster spot and two way spot. So that makes 16 standard contracts, and 4 two way contracts pushing rosters as a whole to 20 players total. To accommodate this, the expansion draft should allow for 10 protections.

@PacersWRLD @MKratus @Big_Kstrick57 @hndrxxmonster It all happened within the first 5 games too, TJ went down in training camp, Nembhard on opening night, with Nesmith, Mathurin, and Obi all going down shortly after. The season was a wash the moment the injury report essentially took all of the best players out of commission lol

@MKratus @Big_Kstrick57 @hndrxxmonster They weren’t all healthy the first 30-40 games they had legit injuries. Mathurin toe, Obi foot, Nesmith ankle, McConnell hammy, even Kam Jones had a back injury over the summer. You guys simply don’t watch the games.
