@SamaHoole I'm guessing that even basic beef sausage is considered highly processed: chsausage.com/products/beef-…

On carnivore you stop chasing the RDAs. Different fuel state, different demands, and it runs on far less than the charts insist. Here is why.
Cut the carbs and you need less vitamin C. You were only losing it to glucose crowding the same doors.
Cut the seed oils and you need less vitamin E. You were only spending it mopping up their oxidation.
Cut the omega 6 and you need less omega 3. You were only burning it to douse the fire the six lit.
Cut the grains and you need less magnesium, calcium and zinc. The phytates and oxalates were binding them before you got a look in.
Cut the carbs and you need fewer B vitamins. You were spending them just to process the carbs.
Cut the carbs and you need less sodium. You stop holding the water.
Cut the sodium and you need less potassium. The two sit on a see-saw.
Every nutrient you were told to chase, you were mostly losing to the food you were told to eat.
The RDAs were written for a body wading through sugar and seed oil. Yours no longer is.
Stop eating the problem and you stop needing the antidote.

@Nickisbackbaby I do not believe that Christianity can be "proven" true. This is by divine design. It forces the believer to choose to believe "that which is not seen". One must allow the Holy Spirit to convict you of your own free will. That is all you can bring to your own salvation.

@WallStreetApes It's been my experience that, pound for pound, chicken has fewer calories than red meat, almost as few as most fish.
English

This is wild. We have been lied to about everything
We were told chicken is a health food, we’ve been told it’s what we should all be eating
According to nutrient density information by multiple sources including the USDA, it ranks nearly dead last. Here’s the order for nutrient dense meat (generally)
- Beef (especially grass-fed; high in protein, zinc, iron, B vitamins, creatine)
- Lamb (often tops lists for nutrient density per serving; excellent fats, minerals, B vitamins)
- Bison (very lean, high protein, strong mineral profile; frequently #1 or #2 vs. others)
- Venison (lean, nutrient-packed game meat; high vitamins/minerals per calorie)
- Fish (varies: fatty fish like salmon excel in omega-3s; high in protein/selenium)
- Pork (good protein/minerals but often ranks below ruminants; varies by cut)
And all the way at the bottom is chicken:
- Chicken is excellent for lean protein but generally much lower in key micronutrients and fats compared to all the above
We have been lied to about everything
One of the big reason we switched from mainly eating mainly beef and other meats is marketing from major companies like Tyson
Chicken was historically more of a delicacy or seasonal food in the US, not everyday staple like beef or pork. Mid-20th century campaigns by companies like Tyson and others successfully repositioned it as a cheap, healthy, everyday “lean protein” alternative
Marketing played a major role in shifting consumer habits, emphasizing health and nutrition angles while industrial production scaled up dramatically. This was classic marketing to expand market share
You should be upset

@BasedBandita Because they'll be promoted, re-tweeted and paid by social media companies?

@speakinghouston @Nickisbackbaby If Christian, commanded to share the good news. If you perceive a great danger - physical or spiritual - the least you can do is warn or advise against it. Be the light you want to help others find.
English

@Nickisbackbaby Why must you share your faith to strangers?

@Nickisbackbaby Testemony works for me; "God provided for me just what/when I needed". Throw in Scripture if appropriate. Let the Holy Spirit do His work. Answer questions as best you can (and try to be prepared.)

Imagine the Federal government launched a new program: Comprehensive Social Security Plus.
The benefits are as follows:
- Housing, medical care, clothing, and transportation are all provided free
- Child care, elder care, and disability care are provided free, with no limits on time spent
- Free food and other necessary goods are dispensed from government-supplied stores, delivered directly to you, or dispensed from mobile platforms, depending on the nature of the goods.
- Electricity, water service, Internet/telephone service and basic equipment (cell phone, PC) are provided and supported for free. All media will be federally approved and no non-approved material may be consumed, for purposes of security.
Perks:
1. There is no age limit for accessing benefits - newborns are immediately entered into the program and begin to receive the same provisions provided to everyone else.
2. No more bureaucratic run-around maze: every 500 citizens are assigned to a Coordinator who is chosen from the general populace by government experts. This Coordinator is responsible for making sure that everyone has all of the benefits as listed above. They may appoint Sub-Coordinators to specialize in certain areas depending on expertise. Sub-Coordinators are chosen from within the 500 citizen group. You need something? Here's the guy to call, and he and his staff are here to help.
3. Every citizen will be supplied with full-time employment. You may petition your Coordinator or Sub- for specific positions or duties, and your skill sets will definitely be taken into account, but you must rely on the wisdom and perspective of the Coordinator by accepting whatever duties you are assigned until you can successfully petition for a change.
Sub-Coordinators with especially vital skills or other remarkable qualities may be traded between Coordinators, as may outstanding citizens.
4. All real estate, physical property, and/or infrastructure within the area where Comprehensive Social Security is mandated becomes the property of the Federal government. The Coordinators and Sub-Coordinators in each area will assign citizens the task of using, maintaining, exploiting and/or subduing said propert(ies) in an appropriate and profitable manner, so that all may benefit from it. Especially important, valuable, beautiful and/or productive propert(ies) may be reserved for use and/or management by the Coordinator and select Sub-Coordinators for the purposes of security, safety and efficiency.
Whaddaya think? Sure solves a lot of problems, doesn't it? A real worker's paradise.

Every long-term carnivore ends up in the same place, and nobody sent a memo.
1. Chicken quietly stops existing. No decision was made. It just stops registering as food, the way a napkin does.
2. The RDAs become comedy. Once you have spent three years clearing every single one of them out of a mince pan, the little chart on a cereal box reads like a horoscope.
3. The fat to protein ratio climbs on its own. Everyone starts on lean steak and cottage cheese and ends up buying 20% mince, hunting the fat cap, spooning tallow back into the pan.
4. The liver goes. Everyone tries it. Everyone gags it down once a month for a while, pleased with themselves. Almost nobody is still doing it at year three.
5. The electrolytes stop. The sachets sit in the cupboard, the ritual quietly gets abandoned, and precisely nothing happens.
6. Meals collapse to two. Then some days one, without anyone calling it fasting, because you cannot fast from food you did not want.
7. The recipes stop. No more pancakes made of pork rind. It is a pan and a lump of beef and it takes four minutes.
8. Nobody weighs anything ever again.
None of it was reasoned out. Thousands of people, no coordination, no guru, all drifting to the same short list from different directions.
The wellness lot sell you intuitive eating, which in practice means trusting your gut into a packet of biscuits.
Take away every food engineered to override the signal and the appetite starts telling the truth immediately. It was always a decent guide. It was just being shouted at by a crisp.

Eat a mouthful of grass and you get nothing. It goes in green and comes out green.
Eat straw and you get nothing. Your gut cannot touch cellulose.
Eat acorns and you get tannins, and a very bad afternoon.
Eat bracken and you get a carcinogen.
Eat nettles, thistles, brambles, rushes and moorland heather and you get a mouth full of blood and no calories.
Eat the beet pulp, the oat husks and the spent brewer's grain and you get the waste the factory couldn't sell.
Now feed the lot of it to a cow.
She turns every one of them into steak, butter, cream, milk and a hide, on land that will never grow a vegetable, using four stomachs and a fermentation vat you do not have.
The grass she eats grew on rain and sunlight, for free, on a hillside nobody can plough.
She is the only creature on earth that can take a field of inedible fibre and hand you back the most nutrient-dense food there is.
The cow is not competing with you for food. She eats the ninety percent you cannot.
Best plant-based diet ever invented. It just has a cow in the middle doing the hard part.
