@rolandds05 The book is called "Tunes for Toons" by Daniel Goldmark. Very interesting read! I'd also recommend another book from him, "The Cartoon Music Book", which is a collection of interviews from various cartoon composers.

@mike33776 I apologize for replying to a post from nearly a year ago, but I'll have to say that not all his scores are this quotation-dense. there are quite a few where the original music outweighs the quotations. Also in case you actually end up seeing this, I'll ask, what book is that?

So, I knew Carl Stalling would quote familiar or notable tunes in his cartoon scores, but I had no idea as to the extent. It’s literally one after another, with only a few original bits to fill in the gaps, and this just details the first minute or so of the cartoon.

Even before I became aware that #DINOSAUR had unused ride music, I wanted to create my own score for fun, built in the same manner as Temple of the Forbidden Eye. This is a rough preview of the first scene.

Sheet music is viewable again and I'm gearing up to release some notated music from a couple of my previous cartoons underscores.
I also want to get started soon on my next big sample library project, which will be based on organ pipes.
