@OleTimeHardball As exciting as Sanders was, I’m going with Payton. Sweetness had more power as a runner, could run with finesse, threw 8 TD passes and caught 15. I just feel #34 would offer a lot more versatility and leadership qualities on/off the field.

Yeah, that brings back memories. I can still hear the quarters drop into the machine and feel the pull of the selection arm. Dad always sent me to the back of the bar/restaurant to get him a pack of regular Kents. No adult ever stopped this 10-13 year old kid from this mission. 😂
