They need to be playing against the teams who do the same in state tournament play. It’s an unfair advantage for them to compete against public schools.

The topic of competitive balance and public vs private competition in @OfficialGHSA sports is one that will always spark debate. IMO the best answer is classifying schools including public and private together based on athletic budgets. This would require total transparency. But programs would be classified based on how much they spend on sports and not how many students attend school on an average daily basis. I believe you do this you will get as close as you can get to true competitive balance
