KD NEARS HISTORY: Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant is only 52 points shy of passing Wilt Chamberlain for seventh place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list after finishing with 26 last night, capped by a game-winning three-pointer against the Phoenix Suns. The 15-time All-Star said recently that legends such as Chamberlain “set a standard that I try to reach every day.” Durant is on pace to average at least 25 PPG and shoot 50% or better from the field for a 13th consecutive season.
