Algo que me molesta del relato (en muchos puntos cierto) de que el fútbol ha bajado el nivel es cuando se ignora que antes también había años de nivel bajo en el fútbol mundial.
2010 mismamente es un año de NIVEL futbolístico objetivamente bajo, y la mejor prueba de ello es que en pleno auge de Cristiano y Messi, uno ni mereciera estar en la conversación por ser el mejor del año y el otro permitiera que jugadores notablemente inferiores (Iniesta, Xavi o Snejider) estuvieran en la pelea.

Unsurprisingly as he works his way back from an ACL injury, Rodri hasn't been at his best this season. But make no mistake about it, losing Rodri, the 2nd Premier League player to win the Ballon D'Or since 2001, to Real Madrid... In the same summer as Salah leaves and within 3 years of Kane and De Bruyne's departures... Would be a yet another sign that the absolute BEST players in the world, are playing outside of England.
