I remember hearing an illustration, I'm pretty confident it was Matt Chandler, discussing how the gospel went from Jerusalem all the way to their church in Texas. Does anyone know where this is found? Was it Chandler or someone else?

@Njeru_Thandi I don’t think either worry or anxiety quite captures it based on the way we use those terms today. Though worry is quite a bit closer.

@mikeleake The kjv/nkjv use 'worry' while RSV say'worry about'. Other English paraphrases/dynamic equivalence translations like NLT use the same 'worry.' Word for word/formal equivalence opt for 'anxious'. These are favored by mainstream denominations. Anxiety and worry are about the same

I think "anxiety" isn't a great translation for Matthew 6. It's less about not yeeting like a deer and more about who you think has the burden for your survival.
