This is insane. A 9:52pm order demanding an update by 7:30am? In what world does Judge Reyes seriously believe it will be possible to get a responsive answer from the client by then? This kind of stuff just smacks of performativity and bias, especially given how low stakes it is.

It’s entertaining watching all the Trump apologists lose their minds because a judge is actually judging and taking DOJ lawyers to task. If these lawyers didn’t want to spend their Sunday night working, they shouldn’t have misled the Court. This isn’t complicated.

Judge Reyes previously berated an attorney for representing the administration's position by asking what an attorney would do if she banned all alumni of UVA Law School from speaking in her courtroom. Now she orders briefing overnight on a Sunday...about a golf course. Odd stuff!

EPP was designed to host championship golf like the public links championship it did. Also it’s 34 miles from midtown. Plenty of closer options too.

East Potomac is not Beth page and was never meant to be that. On top of that taking even more public use land to do this just hurts the city itself.

Really hope this ain’t the end for ole East Potomac. Picked up some shifts in the pro shop recently and was awed by the range of people who came to the course. Serious players. First-timers. Coors Lighters. Mini golfers. Plus a committed staff. Would be a giant loss in DC
