Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.

Mike Johnson says we have to allow insider trading so people who make almost $200K a year can feed their families.

We are not just "in decline". In less than two years he has plunged us from superpower status into a banana republic. We have one chance to fix it, and that's a progressive congress in the midterms. A centrist neoliberal blue wave is not enough.

If you’re outraged over Trump calling Xi a “great leader” during their meeting, I think you’re missing the point. This is how Trump negotiates. He uses flattery to keep the peace, even though China absolutely despises Trump. When Trump said, “We’re going to have a fantastic future together," that's a textbook example of Trump using flattery to catch the other side off guard. Trump did the exact same thing when he met with Kim Jong Un. How many years do you need to watch him before you recognize his pattern?
