Nothing is better than playing for a manager who gets it and has feel. During this time or the year, they throw in a “show and go” at-least once a week and also limit infield and outfield to when the rovers are in town haha.

Playing the same team for a full week is so much better than the old system. There was so much travel and it made it very stressful on players, families, staff etc. Facing the same pitchers and hitters for a week straight isn’t ideal but most will take it

Fellas, keep in mind that if you are rehabbing, you should get reimbursed for any travel that is work related. In the past it was $0.56 per mile which adds up. Look into how far back you can go. This includes off-season. I’m sure you could use the money and it’s your right.

Managers! Wanna learn the best thing you can do for team moral. Give them a show and go once a week. The best teams and managers I played for did this. Getting to the yard at 1 pm every day during the summer ain’t it.

Few tips for guys getting drafted and starting their pro careers this month. 1. Wear shower shoes 2. Don’t wear your organizations apparel away from the field 3. Rinse off before getting in the tubs to contrast. This is a good start.

Kids, if you want your chances of getting a ball to go up even higher, simply say the players first name. It’s more personal and it lets them know you know who they are.

Kids, if you want to separate yourself from the majority of kids asking for a ball at the game, just say please at the end. It won’t guarantee a ball, but considering that most kids don’t say please, you’ll stand out.

There’s going to be plenty of coaches trying to put their stamp on you this season. Just remember, not too long ago pitchers were told to throw majority fastballs and pound the bottom of the zone. How did that play out?
