This woman found something in 'Dying Human Brain' that makes no sense. Her breakthrough research reveals that a dying brain generates 'Gamma Waves,' suggesting it may remain active in a meaningful way even during death. For several years, Neuroscientist Jimo Borjigin had been surprised to realize how little we know about what happens to the brain when we die, even though dying is a natural part of life. About ten years ago, she accidentally discovered this while conducting experiments on rats. She and her team were monitoring brain chemicals after surgery when two rats unexpectedly died, allowing her to observe the brain's activity during death. She wondered if one of the rats had hallucinations because its brain released a large amount of serotonin—a chemical linked to mood and hallucinations. This made her curious, so she started researching the topic, only to find that very little was known about how the brain behaves when dying. Since then, as a professor at the University of Michigan, she has dedicated herself to studying this process. What she discovered challenged common beliefs.

In the late 20th century, Russian scientists Dr. Peter Gariaev and Dr. Vladimir Poponin conducted a series of experiments that led them to a hypothesis: human DNA is not just a biological blueprint...it vibrates, resonates, and even “sings” in a way that influences our health and consciousness. Their research, which has been largely ignored or dismissed by mainstream science, suggests that DNA operates on a wave-like principle, transmitting and receiving information through frequencies much like a radio station. This idea, often referred to as “wave genetics”, proposes that genetic information is not only stored in the physical double helix of DNA but also in a quantum or energetic field that surrounds it. According to Gariaev and Poponin, this means that our DNA responds to sound, light, and even words...making the human body a living symphony of vibrational energy. The experiment involved placing DNA samples inside a vacuum chamber and then bombarding them with laser light. When the DNA was physically removed, something crazy happened: The light continued to spiral in the same pattern, as if the DNA was still there. This suggested that DNA leaves behind an energetic imprint, influencing the surrounding environment even after its physical presence is gone. Another weird and super cool aspect of their research was the idea that DNA vibrates at specific frequencies, creating patterns that resemble musical compositions. Gariaev and his team converted the four nucleotide bases of DNA (adenine, thymine, cytosine, guanine) into corresponding musical notes. When played, the resulting melodies were beautiful, harmonious, and eerily structured....almost like a cosmic lullaby encoded within our cells. What’s even more intriguing is that, according to their theory: Every individual has a unique genetic melody, like a personal symphony encoded within their DNA. If this music becomes “out of tune” due to environmental toxins, stress, or genetic modification, disease and imbalance occur. By listening to one’s own “DNA music,” they believed that the body could self-correct and restore its natural harmony. These semi modern day ideas align with ancient teachings from Hinduism, to Taoism that describe the universe as sound, often symbolized by the sacred Om (Aum) vibration.

Classical Chinese dance has always been more than just movement, it’s storytelling from the heart. With the new season right around the corner, Shen Yun dancers are using every opportunity to hone their skills and refine their craft. Here, dancer Luna Yu is combining strength, flexibility, and complex spinning techniques and bringing centuries of tradition together through art.

The “Standing Side Split” or Pang Tui Tang Shen in Chinese classical dance is a prime example of the balance and flexibility required in professional training. Standing on one leg, the dancer then raises the other to form a vertical split in the air. Once the hips are stretched to their fullest extent, the dancer can then freely extend the upper body, using the whole body to its fullest potential.

Many Shen Yun performers are not only artists—they are also survivors. On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party launched a nationwide campaign against Falun Gong, a peaceful spiritual practice rooted in the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Overnight, millions of meditators were branded enemies of the state. Families were torn apart, homes raided, and faith driven underground. Ellie Rao was only four years old when police stormed into her home during dinner. She watched in shock as they dragged her father away from the table. He never returned. Weeks later, he died from abuse in detention. Zhao Jiheng grew up in a house emptied by fear. His parents disappeared one after the other, detained for refusing to give up their belief. When his mother finally came back, she was physically broken and emotionally withdrawn. His childhood was filled with police raids, classmates’ taunts, and long stretches of isolation. Chen Fadu never knew her father—he died when she was just a baby. Her mother became a global voice for justice, and together, they traveled to 45 countries, sharing their story and folding lotus flowers as symbols of peace. At only seven years old, Kenji Kobayashi began collecting signatures in Japan after his grandmother was jailed in China. He gathered over 2,400 in an effort to save her life. “At least she made it out alive,” he says. “Considering everything, we are still the lucky ones.” Later, Kenji found a new voice on stage—as a dancer with Shen Yun These stories show us that even under fire, faith becomes unstoppable strength. And that art can preserve the truth no regime can erase. Their journey continues. (2/2)
