@Bennybizzle1 #FortySevenFriday @trainfanmatt @BrianNe08342467 @miles_chains @TomDearlove1 @DownOnTheStour @SteelCityDog_ @StockportTrains its class 47 friday. Come on share your spoons with us. We all love a good spoon. 47714s first official passenger run on @WensleydaleRail

@BrianNe08342467 Morning Brian, an absolutely cracking shot of the old dynamic lines liveried 185. Love how you are drawn into this shot, and how the colours contrast. Definitely my favourite livery for the 185, these were good times too. Lovely shot. 👍🙂
English

@BrianNe08342467 Morning Brian, many thanks as always, so appreciated as you know.
Difficult to believe isn’t it! Built for a purpose and they still deliver! Ultimately I think everyone agrees they should have longer sets, but that’s the way it goes! 🙂👍
English

@miles_chains Good evening David. I still can't get my head around the fact that these units are now 20 years old, and also that there is 2,250hp on tap, spread across the 3 cars! Definitely built for those Pennine gradients! I'm loving the symmetry in your shot! 🙂👍🏻
English

@DavidEllis94329 They’re definitely a robust unit, although it’s fair to say they do have their moments every now and again! But on the whole an outstanding performer.
English

@miles_chains Totally agree, done many miles commuting on 185s and can't recall ever having one break down. And they literally run day and night without any fuss, just get on with it. They must have clocked up a fair mileage.
English

@miles_chains They're probably the most ideal train for the routes given the door layout - just a pity they weren't 4 coaches from new!
English

@reuben_p_grace Thank you so much, I really do appreciate that.
English

@pacorrie Hi Paul, yes, I must credit you for putting us onto this one! Straight over to Salford after the dayshift. A great location with the traction to match! Happy days! 🙂
English

@miles_chains Very nice Dave , I might of told you way back when , it’s only a hour to Salford for two loco hauled just after 5pm. Get yersen there. 😀
English

37408 ‘Loch Rannoch’ rounds the curve at Salford Crescent with service for Blackpool North. Imagine this being your commute home at the end of the day! We didn’t realise how good we had it!

@BrianNe08342467 Hi again Brian, thank you so much for that. Quite the ride home this one isn’t it! A mixed bag of coaches and a large logo 37/4 up front, that’ll do nicely! I rode home on a 2 car 195 tonight…Not the same vibe! 🤣👍
English

@miles_chains Evening David. I wouldn't be complaining one bit if this was the traction for my commute home! It brings back such happy memories of the 'club' trains. A classic location back in the day, with a classic loco - and a terrific shot! 🙂👍🏻
English

@BrianNe08342467 Good evening Brian, and many thanks as always for your continued support. Appreciated so much.
A much missed loco this one, it didn’t survive like so many of the others. Definitely a bit of a nip in the air that day! 🥶🤣
English

@miles_chains Hi again David, yet another of your hallmark top notch shots! It's an ace subject to begin with, and I love how you've framed the loco between the signal and the lamp. The snow-capped peak in the background is, quite literally, the icing on the cake! 🙂👍🏻
English

It’s a chilly start in Fort William. 37406 ‘The Saltire Society’ makes its way on to the shed having just brought the paper rolls from the mill in Corpach. Probably in for a splash and dash before heading south.

@miles_chains @PickGS Did you choose to do it again? Or was once more than enough. We were stuck with them and had to ride the damn things.

143612 Awaits its turn on the wheel lathe at Neville Hill. We would often see vehicles from other areas taking a slot on the lathe. It makes sense to use the nearest one whenever possible.

English

@StockportTrains Hi David, huge thanks, so much appreciated. Always looks that little better with a bit of snow on the peaks!
English

@miles_chains Good Morning David - this is a cracking shot. Love the signals and the snow capped mountain!
English

@BrianNe08342467 Good evening Brian, hope you’re well. Many thanks as always, your support means the world.
Definitely saw some action over the years in different areas. The sporty version of the pacer! 🤣👍
English

@miles_chains Good evening David. This certainly brings back some memories, although many of the units that I saw were in the West Yorkshire PTE red and white, mainly around the Skipton area. Another fine shot! 🙂👍🏻
