37901 ‘Mirrlees Pioneer’ caught in the dock at Manchester Piccadilly. I remember seeing this loco paired with another 37/9 in South Wales on the Llanwern Iron Ore. I did prefer it in red stripe railfreight, though it still looks mighty! #Class37 #ManchesterPiccadilly

Thomas Prosser and William Peachey left us with this marvel of a station, officially opened in 1877. Substantive repairs were completed in 1947 following damage sustained during World War II, and here is what we are left with. (Apologies for the Azuma!) #YorkRailwayStation

View from the train. The Cambrian Coast Line has absolutely spectacular views. This one is looking back at Barmouth in the distance in the shadow of the mountains. You can see Barmouth Bridge in the distance to the right. Summer 2015...

66725 ‘Sunderland’ powers 6H12, the Tyne coal terminal to Drax into platform 3 at York. This used to be a regular class 60 turn before they were put in store! #Class66 #Shed #GBRf #York

@miles_chains It would have been nice to see this on the inaugral reinstated Flying Scotsman on Monday from Edinburgh to Kings Cross. As it doesn't do the run anymore, should it still be called "Flying Scotsman", put it on something that actualy travels to Scotland.
