This morning at around 6 Nex decided to cross the 🌈 bridge. He was a jerk so I doubt he'll say anything good about me, but I do hope he'll wait up for a while for me to join.

My baby Nex got an acute renal insufficiency. This is the last nice photo I have of him. Waiting to go see one more vet when he's available but Nex will likely cross the rainbow bridge during that visit. It's been just 5 years and I'm dying inside.

Update on Nex: I've talked with the other vet and made a decision to try the therapy he suggested- IV and antibiotics. Chances are slim and he might not get through the night but I want to do everything I can before I have to put him down.
