Hollywood is in denial that conservative money is becoming a deal breaker bottomline. They are selectively pulling away from movies that don't fit their values. This is not a judgment call, it's just a fact. They're not all going to just watch faith based movies - though there is definitely an expanding market for that - but they are holding their Baby Jesus wallets and not contributing to the dildo shaped collection plate. Yes movies can do well without them, but movies can do better with Holy Ghost Banking Power.

@AVARY Given the unbelievable amount of cash he made the studios, that's really astounding to hear. He was wonderful in Cop Land. The movie is a hidden gem.

Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner. This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat. I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared. "Did we…?" "Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless." Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined. My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude." Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man. I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy. Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived. I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most. Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.

@AVARY I'm skeptical of the "Discloser Day" auto-hype. I love SS, but the trailer did zero for me. I think it's tough to get cutting edge sci-fi right at 79.

Re: Angry Art Director: As a #newbie, a writer asked me to write a few scenes of an episode. I wrote HALF. He got $6K & I got $300. He didn't rewrite me. Unfair. I asked for $750 as a compromise. He agreed. Pay models need to change, but public outing? Biting hand that fed you?

@RealGDT Matthew Rhys has one of the great acting faces in the business. Incredible visual range and adaptability. And he then has a level of craft mastery that allows him to take full advantage. He's a gift.

If I may- in my estimation- #WidowsBay may very well be the best streaming series in a long time… and hands down one of the most mesmerizing acts of narrative prestidigitation in Horror.
