@MarkJCarney do not think that the recent current prov. government in Quebec considers the prov. to be officially bilingual , it is closer to reality to view Quebec as through the eyes of the prov. government as " a unilingual french speaking nation"

Canada is a proud, bilingual nation. Our history and culture is shaped by the French language and the millions of Canadians who speak it every day. La Francophonie is a pillar of our national identity — one to be protected and celebrated across Canada.

Canada condemns in the strongest terms Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting energy facilities across the Gulf region, including the recent strike on Qatar’s Ras Laffan liquefied natural gas complex. Canada is equally appalled by the deliberate targeting of oil and gas infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other Gulf countries. We will continue to engage actively with Gulf partners and the international community in support of de-escalation.

Mexico supports Cuba by providing essential oil/fuel shipments which is a very brave and honorable decision. Meanwhile Canada remains silent and does nothing in any meaningful manner to help , sitting on the sidelines with our hands in our pockets. There are reports that the Cuban leadership is engaged in back channel talks with the US to resolve the current crisis. You can be certain, that any proposed " deal " will diminish the independence and authority of the existing national government to favour the strategic and economic interests of the United States and their proxies.

🇲🇽🇨🇺 BREAKING: Mexico will send oil to Cuba. Trump's blockade has fallen. 60 years of embargo. 60 years of trying to starve an island. Now Mexico breaks the siege. Oil shipments. Solidarity. Sovereignty. The US can sanction. Can threaten. Can block. But neighbors help. Neighbors deliver. Neighbors don't forget. Cuba has been alone too long. Mexico just changed that. The blockade isn't gone. But it's cracked. And cracks spread. Mexico sends oil. The world watches. The empire fumes. Solidarity wins. Every time.

@BowesChay common regime change procedure, once you have been put into power, you must get rid of the top armed forces cadre that you has worked with under the old regime.

"New leadership" comes in, and her first move is a full military purge. Delcy Rodríguez fired the old military leadership right after replacing the defence minister to tighten control after Maduro's removal.

15 years ago today NATO began bombing Libya. A Canadian oversaw the campaign, 7 CF-18 fighter jets participated & 2 Canadian naval vessels patrolled Libya’s coast. Canadian special forces also participated in a war that killed thousands & stoked conflict across Africa’s Sahel

Tel Aviv — a woman crying says: "We are in shock… the children are very scared." But the question now sparking debate: Where was this humanity when the children of Gaza were under bombardment? The scene sums up a shocking contradiction… fear is now knocking on the doors of those who did not feel it yesterday. Is the world finally beginning to see the full picture?

update: was able to fin the poling you refer to. + asked Grok to provide a summary which could offer context to the polling results: as per Grok: "The drop in Canada's ranking (to 25th in the 2026 World Happiness Report, its lowest ever) is largely driven by a sharp decline in life satisfaction among young people under 25—especially teenage girls in English-speaking countries like Canada. The report highlights heavy social media use (long scrolling hours, particularly 5+ hours/day) as a key factor, with negative effects on well-being more pronounced for girls. Other contributing issues include economic pressures like housing unaffordability, food insecurity, job worries (including AI disruption), loneliness, institutional distrust, and broader anxieties (climate, polarization, etc.). Older Canadians remain relatively happier, but the youth trend has pulled the national average down steadily over the past decade." Hope this somewhat helpful.

Canada is plummeting in world happiness rankings. It's fallen from 5th in 2005 to 25th today. What could possibly be the reason?👇

kind of thinking you are " over reaching " on this one citing a comparison between a single individual 's asylum application/case vs Canada's foreign affairs policy regarding the illegal war now waging in Iran. you conclude with your question "trustworthiness " as the central issue.....really?

🚨🗣 ‘You could make the case that maybe we shouldn’t even be there at all’ — Trump on US-Israeli war against Iran US President Donald Trump suggested the United States might not need to be involved in the confrontation in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that the country has ample domestic energy resources. He also said other countries that rely heavily on energy shipments through the waterway “should come and… help us protect” the route.

🗣 Trump demands support from US allies in the war on Iran US President Donald Trump said Washington expects support from partner countries during the US-Israeli aggression against Iran. 💬 “Whether we get support or not… I said it to them, ‘WE WILL REMEMBER,’” Trump declared.

🚨 JUST IN: Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre just gave bombshell statement on Greenland. "I want to praise the Danish Prime Minister [Mette Frederiksen] for standing up firmly for the basic principles of international law, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity." "The future of Greenland can only be decided by the people of Greenland and Kingdom of Denmark." "I consider such threats to be unacceptable; they have no place among allies."
