@UncleWalt1971 I’ve never understood why they changed the animation and tone to more of a Renn&Stimpy style. I can’t stand the newer look. What they did to Goofy is criminal. But this helps explain why they did it.

The Mickey Mouse 2013 began when Paul Rudish was hired by Disney Television Animation to develop new heritage-library shows but secretly hoped to pitch a personality-driven Mickey cartoon. He was stunned when execs approached him first...Bob Iger had ordered every department to create fresh Mickey content, and Rudish’s love of 1930s rubber-hose cartoons made him the perfect fit. The design deliberately returned to the pie-eyed, stretchy “rubber-hose” look of the early black-and-white shorts, giving Mickey a rascally, expressive personality that the company had avoided since the 1930s. Mercury Filmworks handled animation production using digital tools that mimicked hand-drawn looseness and squash-and-stretch movement. The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, the series’ 2020-2023 successor, gave the gang “elbow room.” The original shorts were a tight 3½–4 minutes focused almost entirely on Mickey; the Disney+ versions expanded to ~7 minutes, letting Donald, Goofy, Pluto, and Daisy share the spotlight, adding actual villains like Pete and Mortimer, and grouping stories by Disneyland “lands.” Rudish’s team collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering from day one on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway; they even produced the 2D animated segments for the ride vehicles.
