One thing I like about Taiwan (& would like to write a story on the more I think abt it) is that while it's no doubt a developed country w/ high tech, it's also a religious society. The myths and science doesn't clash as others might expect. Instead they coexist in harmony. (1)

@alovelyhorse How deep is the pile? That’s got to be part of the equation surely? Or is it any kind of pile? Like, a small pile of cardboard boxes, no, but if the pile was big enough yes. But no size of pile of bricks is gonna work.

@MildlyBitter One of them is physics so I feel like he was best placed to be a biiiiiit logical about it but was also the one that let loose with the end of the spanner when he got frustrated. The other was an evolutionary microbiologist so it’s a tiny bit out of her speciality in fairness.

I feel like I need to report that it took two Cambridge Masters students ten minutes to open a bottle of Green’s Ginger Wine yesterday. Screw top.

@millymelon Hold it under the hot tap, the heat from the water expands the metal making it easier to open. You lot should just stick to rowing and leave the life skills to us bammers.
