What's your approach for the guy? Do you assume good intent? If you are working to not alienate your daughter, does that also mean you are accepting of him?

@haintological @WhurDeyDoDatAt It is hard to acknowledge that as a parent but also may be why some parents are not bothered as much. For some people, they may feel that's your best bet.
Is that why you say it's not grooming?

Part of it is acknowledging that she may be making a decision in search of financial stability (or just increase) that she isn't able to get from her current situation, including her parents, which is not neccesarily irrational but could be short-sighted.

My daughter (5th grade) said the reason why the kids are acting this way is because of the adults in their life and I believe her. These children are tired of what we are giving them and aren't taking it.

We don't have enough information to assess this situation. For all we know, he is holding his financial boundaries because she was on some bs. She needs to talk to her trusted friends and probably his parents to get some insight. The internet is for info and drama, not wisdom

If you choose to allow your adult children to stay with you, then there has to be a mindset shift. We are all adults so everyone is responsible and everyone should feel safe. Which means momma can't have ninjas running all through.
