Electricity is not a luxury. It is the bloodstream of development. No nation has industrialised in darkness. Factories do not run on speeches. Hospitals do not function on promises. Data centres do not operate on hope. They run on power. Nigeria keeps announcing reforms, summits, committees and five year plans. Yet government officials drive brand new SUVs to offices powered by generators. The same leaders who preach austerity burn diesel every day just to keep air conditioners on. A country where ministries hum louder from generators than from productivity cannot compete globally. Let us be honest. Without constant power, Nigeria’s GDP will struggle to sustainably cross 500 billion dollars. Manufacturing will remain stunted. Tech startups will bleed capital on fuel. Small businesses will inflate prices to survive energy costs. Foreign investors will calculate diesel expenses before calculating opportunity. Electricity is not a sector problem. It is the foundation problem. You can reform tax codes. You can float the naira. You can merge agencies. You can borrow from the World Bank. If power is unstable, every reform becomes cosmetic. The tragedy is not lack of resources. The North has sun powerful enough to dominate solar generation across West Africa. The South has vast water bodies for hydro and oil and gas reserves that could stabilise thermal power plants. But instead of building transmission lines and solar farms, we argue tribe and religion in the North. Instead of engineering infrastructure in the South, too many are engineering ways to siphon public funds. Energy policy has been held hostage by incompetence, politics and corruption. Until Nigeria produces abundant, reliable electricity, we will continue exporting raw materials and importing finished goods. We will continue celebrating small economic rebounds while remaining structurally weak. Power is productivity. Power is security. Power is industrialisation. Power is dignity. Fix electricity first. Everything else is noise.

Lots of pastors' wives are sexually starved due to over spiritual husbands treating sex like a sin.

Asides the fact that I don’t argue religion nor judge pastors, y’all feel that it’s your N500 offerings or 20k tithe that bought him this? Darling, most of these exotic properties are gifts from well to do individuals that wont be on social media judging him 🤣 “Una pastor dey drive cyber truck 😂😂” even in the Bible, the donkey that Jesus rode on was decorated for him by his followers, which was a mark of honor

Nigeria can afford it There is just so much corruption and inefficiency India is waaay more populated and has alot of poverty too but villages enjoy 24h light there Keep in mind, India doesn’t have large natural gas reserves or oil reserves like Nigeria Nothing absolutely nothing stops Northern governors from pulling their resources together and building a solar farm in Sokoto to power the region instead they waste the money on mass weddings & SUVs for Emirs Nothing stops oil producing states that get 13% blah blah from building little hydro power plants to power the region Nigerian leaders want you to think this thing is hard and expensive It is not Countries like Singapore have done it without the resources Nigeria have
Foundational Nupe Lawyer@egi_nupe

I think the real question is: Can you afford to experience 24hours light for 1 week?

@jon_d_doe I don’t see why Pastors think sex reduces their “spirituality” or is lack of time As a man you are meant to satisfy your wife & home first before even going out to preach

Oil Exploration states get 13% derivatives every month. In 2025, a total sum of N1.5 trillion was paid as 13% derivatives to all the oil producing states in Nigeria. Ask those states what they spent the money on. Exploration companies are not the enemy.

Please what is the benefit of having oil exploration companies in this country? The regions and communities where this oil are being extracted from, are still underdeveloped with environmental damage.

You cannot objectively place a net worth on the Catholic Church because of its Ancient ancestry, Private holdings which are not accessible to the public, and the type of decentralization Most bodies that do rich lists access assets, holdings , investments, real estate, etc that are declarable and more the Catholic church doesn't even declare these publicly or publish its figures though Vatican is otherwise with a caveat Which leaves The Mormon Church to still be the Richest religious organisation Whether the catholic church is worth more than or less than a Trillion dollar. It is still not verifiable It is the same reason most Monarchs aren't on rich lists because it is difficult to determine their net worth based on the principle Some monarchs might be as well richer than Elon Musk but you won't find them on rich lists.
Jesse Ozone@Jessseglee

No bro, you're underestimating the Roman Catholic church. The Catholic church is a multi-trillion-dollar institution with over 1 billion people (17.7%) of the world's population. The Catholic church (global) is the richest religious organisation in the world, bro.

Call me Old school But i don't buy the idea of expelling students in University caught having sex. What i will expect the school to do is chastise them for having sex in a classroom, teach them how to use a condom, teach them safe sex and connect them to youth centers.
