My mother Kate Korman owed $500 to Arizona Public Service, so shortly before her 82nd birthday they cut off her electricity. Temperatures were in the 90s and climbing. Without air conditioning, the heat killed her within a few days. APSkilledMyMom.com

2013: ❝ It is suspected that in many vehicle shooting cases, the subject driver was attempting to flee [Customs & Border] agents who intentionally put themselves into the exit path of the vehicle [⋯ as] justification for the use of deadly force. ❞ cbp.gov/sites/default/…

Amateur forensics on the shooting of Renee Nicole Good. This is the first frame of the video showing smoke from the first gunshot.

@zx7miller I am morally and politically opposed to this assumption that citizens should be deferential to the potential for agents of the state to irrationally panic

@miniver In his mind, she just attempted to murder him. Case closed.

@zx7miller And Renée Good did not attempt to kill him, as demonstrated by the fact that she could have squashed him flat when he was directly in front of her car had she wanted to.

@miniver @2021Freedom1776 If you’re continuing to say she didn’t hit him, you’re not in a serious debate. The fact that she hit him is indisputable at this point. Done with you.

@lilchiva @zx7miller I can indeed attest that Lilchiva is not a lefty ACAB dingbat like me. We disagree on many things but Lil speaks in good faith.

@miniver @lilchiva You’re both wrong and that isn’t the law. She was a felon that just attacked a cop. By law deadly force is allowed to stop them from fleeing.

@zx7miller @2021Freedom1776 To believe that she was trying to hit him, we have to accept that she waited while he walked across the front of the car, then hit the accelerator when she could only achieve a glancing blow. That makes no sense at all.

@zx7miller @2021Freedom1776 And yes, again, the wheels do momentarily spin while pointed straight head … then they •immediately• turn all the way to the right as the car begins to move forward. Which is because she had cranked the steering wheel all of the way to the right before she stepped on the gas.
Jonathan Korman 🟣@miniver

@zx7miller @2021Freedom1776 Yes, there is a brief moment when the wheels spin in place as they shift to the right. That is consistent with her driving on snow-slick road and turning the wheel all the way from left to right before proceeding forward.

@zx7miller If the officer REASONABLY believes that someone presents a danger. So not in this instance.
Jonathan Korman 🟣@miniver

@zx7miller And you are grasping at rationalizations. Maybe she would have reversed and tried to hit more agents? Maybe she would have run over a child later? Maybe she was going to kick a dog later too? None of those possibilities are an immanent threat which justifies lethal force.

@miniver Minnesota law states deadly force can be used to stop a person suspected of committing a felony from fleeing if the officer believes they’re a danger. The new video clearly shows she’s dangerous, she committed several felonies. She had been there all day fighting ICE

@zx7miller I cannot find any documentation of “multiple vehicle attacks” other than from DHS … whom I cannot trust since they made the false claimed that Good struck multiple agents with her car.

@zx7miller @2021Freedom1776 If she was trying to hit him it makes no sense that she would turn straight ahead when he was proceeding toward her left. Again, we can clearly see the car immediately rolling to the right.
