So, here’s the full story: When I first moved to my new place, I wasn’t made aware it wouldn’t be permanent or long standing until my parents told me as I got settled in. It bummed me out back in September with this surprise after going on so much in how great the place to stay in was. The property was owned by a friend of there’s and while trying to get the place some funds, me and my sister would contribute with rent until it was time for it to undergo renovations and be turned into office spaces for rent So in the meantime, have been saving up and occasionally looking up how the rentals around my area would go as I wanted to ensure I would snatch a good deal as good deals can go away quickly where I lived Later through time, my landlord confessed to me, my sister, and parents that his ex investors were making attempts to seize his properties including the one I was living at for themselves as they double crossed him; proving they were greedy bastards looking to make some money by selling his properties off At first, things appeared promising as court date he attended ended up getting dismissed by judge from how ludicrous the investors proved to be when attacking him, and put in an order by sheriff to have strange visitors stop coming to our property But the sneakiest thing the investors performed was taking advantage of my landlord’s ex office worker where she took a deal by them to go against my landlord. She attended a court date my landlord was on purposefully made to not be aware of so he wouldn’t “show up” to court; making it so the investors would win the case and start kicking people off my landlord’s property. No one came to my apartment demanding I leave as it was my parents that brought the news over, dropped travel bags and boxes and told me and my sister “you guys have to pack up and leave, now.” Leading to today where I’m currently at my parents, filing for apartments to move into, and sorting through my belongings with what could have been brought over so far. Me and family are hoping we can somehow fit some of our most important furniture so I wouldn’t end up with little to set up at a new place to live If I’m lucky, it will take a couple weeks to find somewhere good and move out. But for now, I can say that I’m not homeless and can still go to work with ease given the distance being fair between where I’m at now and my job
