The recent Islamophobic attack outside the Toronto Islamic Centre is deeply disturbing. A family leaving the centre was harassed, and a child was assaulted. Such acts are unacceptable and have no place in our communities.
Canada’s new government denounces Islamophobia and all forms of hate. We stand with Muslim communities across Canada and reaffirm our shared responsibility to build a Canada where everyone feels safe and included.

Brews and Blues would love to get the word out that it’s been a tough season and would like to rally for community support during the end of the winter season. It’s been the same for all of the businesses locally. Thank you for taking the time to read this and to pass it along!

@StittsCentral Hi, one of your local businesses is in trouble. I don't usually ask people to share posts, but I would hate to see this business go under. Thanks,

BREAKING NBC:
Pete Hegseth says 'family after family' of service members killed urged the admin to "not stop until the job is done."
But the father of one of those service members says he never said that.
"I can't speak for the other families. When he spoke to me, that was not something we talked about."

This is true of course, but also sometimes the recipe is just vague as fuck
5-6 cups of flour and no instructions
(The recipes worth keeping assume the baker knows how to bake)

I laughed at the “recipes could fit on recipe cards because they were simple and real” thing I saw going around because often times they could fit on recipe cards became they would tell you to use a can of soup or a boxed cake mix 😂

@Strangeland_Elf They fit on a recipe card because they didn't record the writer's life history before they got to the ingredient list. I wish modern recipe writers would take the hint.

@Strangeland_Elf Correct. The recipes I got from my grandmothers are not “time-tested traditions” they are 1950s canned goods recipes.

Strong communities start with the infrastructure people rely on every day.
In Toronto, we’re investing over $183 million through the Community Stream of the Build Communities Strong Fund to support better transit and stronger local infrastructure. This includes accessibility to the TTC so that our transit systems are meeting the needs of our community.
By investing in transit and the infrastructure that helps cities grow, we’re unlocking more homes, connecting more people, and setting communities up to thrive - building Canada strong.
