The recent Islamophobic attack outside the Toronto Islamic Centre is deeply disturbing. A family leaving the centre was harassed, and a child was assaulted. Such acts are unacceptable and have no place in our communities. Canada’s new government denounces Islamophobia and all forms of hate. We stand with Muslim communities across Canada and reaffirm our shared responsibility to build a Canada where everyone feels safe and included.
