Though all tf-idf and frequency analyses I did by hand for months can now be done in roughly 2 seconds on R, which feels funny.

For my dissertation, I hand-coded 10 years of US, EU, and Turkish parliamentary debate transcripts for months largely because I used both nvivo and atlas.ti, and felt the exact same way. Hand-coding = winner.
