@COWIEKIM I appreciate the advice! The replies seem varied, but I definitely don’t want to throw away half a degrees worth of hard work, especially when I enjoy being in the classroom and the teaching aspect! It’s more so the planning that I’ve got to get to grips with.

Ellie, you are very close to the end of training. Look to support from your peers, collaborative planning, etc and drinks on Friday night in a covenient pub. Then give your NQT a chance. Then decide, but at least you are qualified and can use as a springboard for other options.

NQTs & qualified primary teachers: would you say that you have a good work/life balance? I’m a student and am struggling to see this career as one that you can come home from and have adequate time for yourself (as I currently feel that I don’t!) @MrTs_NQTs #edutwitter

One of my babies didn’t do his homework. No kid should be embarrassed because they lack knowledge. So I tell them to write me notes and I write back. No outbursts, no displays. So he gets credit just for turning it in and letting me know he’s struggling

Representation in school is so important for so many reasons and it breaks my heart to think of all of the other children that go through education thinking that they're less than because they see very few that look like them around them.
