Before I was scammed, I had already trained 125 women in braids and wig making in Accra.
Many of them now run their own businesses.
Then I lost almost everything to a scam.
But I’m rebuilding and this time the vision is even bigger.
I spent years building my beauty business and training women in braids and wig making.
In just 1 year, I trained 125 women and 1 man.
Many of them are now:
• Self-employed
• Working in salons across Accra
• Running their own salons
• Training other young women
I wanted the training to be accessible.
So 70% of the women trained almost for free.
They only paid 500ghc for their tools.
The remaining 30% paid less than 2000ghc, which included tools and masterclass attention.
After building that impact, I made a decision that changed everything.
I sold my business equipment to fund an opportunity that promised growth abroad.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be a scam.
I lost almost everything I had built.
It was one of the hardest moments of my life.
But seeing the women I had trained succeed reminded me that the work I started was bigger than the setback.
So I’ve decided to start again, this time rebuilding through my salon work and training programs.
For appointments and student fees, the business generated about GHS 8000 in good months and about GHS 4000 in bad months .
It’s proof that the beauty industry is a powerful economic tool and a lucrative enterprise to explore.
Now the vision is even bigger.
I want to expand training into:
💅🏾 Nails
👁️ Lashes
And eventually build an ultramodern beauty academy in Ghana.
A place that can train hundreds of women and men every year and give them real economic opportunities through skills. While accommodating those who live farther away.
I have already seen what happens when women are given real skills.
125 women and a man trained who are now earning their own income.
Now imagine what we could do with a fully equipped beauty academy.
At this point I am open to partnership and investments.
If you’re an investor, partner, or organization interested in women’s economic empowerment, my DMs are open for further discussions.
Let’s build something profitable yet impactful in Ghana.
