Nerd time: has anyone figured out how to get around the 3200 tweet limit on the Twitter timeline API? It stops at 2014, but I know there's quality angst from 2008 in there and I want it

@misscalico Ohhhh. My assumption was that you could get 3200 tweet, then pass the ID of the oldest tweet, and get the next 3200, etc.

@Im_Jon I've been trying to do that for YEARS. It doesn't work for me and Twitter support won't respond. Good to know that it should theoretically be possible though

@misscalico When trying to find something that far back in my own timeline, I was only ever able to get at it via downloading an archive of my account - not very programmable, not very flexible (as in "limited to just your own timeline"), very sledgehammery, so JSON.

@misscalico According to that, you can use the max_id parameter to ask for repeatedly older and older tweets.

@misscalico Pedant’s reply: Himalayan blackberries are weeds and invasive species. There are also native northwest blackberries. The way to tell the difference is that the invasive ones have bigger thorns and are super sharp. Both are delicious, though.
