yeah nah im focusing my energies on other platforms.

Post everywhere. The community/fandoms we used to post to are scattered and there is no longer a main hub. Start expanding out to Tumblr, TikTok, Instagram, Bluesky, etc. and keep posting there to rebuild. The truth is all of the platforms are unstable. So never settle for one

@Velinxi Keep glazing please. don't forget that the goal is to poison the dataset. We're here to poison the servers to ruin the outputs. And keep nightshading even regular pictures so it's more effective across the board

@Velinxi i have also blocked the person that was replying to me because i realize he's a fearmonger. a majority of these people (that aren't creatives) who keep saying that glaze and nightshade don't work are often lying/fearmongering and do not understand how the tool works.

@Velinxi I would highly recommend that people follow the Glaze and Nightshade team on Bsky because at least they can help explain things to you if you're an artist who has trouble understanding how the tools work. Here is a clarification from Glaze team about how the two work

@missgoobi @Velinxi The diffusion models (Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and their kin) have fixed the oversight that allowed Glaze to work. It's the reason Glaze hasn't been updated in 18 months. The only time it'll be effective now is if someone is running a 2 year old model for some reason.

@missgoobi @Velinxi For the last goddamn time, it was made to confuse 2024 BUILDS OF STABLE DIFFUSION, by exploiting a quirk in how they analyzed lineflow. The developers have since fixed that oversight. Grok never had that oversight in the first place.

For the time being, I will pause the publication of my comics and illustrations on X. I want to be clear: I do not fear AI. In fact, I believe in its future and the possibilities it may bring. However, I cannot accept my works being used, learned from, or exploited without my consent or proper compensation. I care deeply about X. Together with my Canadian friend—who helps translate my words into English and shares with me the voices and stories of fans from overseas—we have worked hard to build something meaningful here. This place has given us precious experiences and memories. Precisely because I like X, and because I believe it can become a good place for the future of manga, I have shared my most valuable works here. For now, I will stop posting my comics and illustrations on X. Instead, I will begin sharing my comics and illustrations on Instagram. Please understand—this does not mean I am leaving X. I will remain here, continue sharing news, and continue talking with you. I simply will not posting my art works here for the time being. Please enjoy my comics and illustrations on Instagram. And I will wait— for the day when I can once again share my works on X. I sincerely hope that day will come. Boichi

@NikSaf_art @Neyunse if you have a larger pile of image files you've created that are glazed and nightshaded over time, the effect will be much stronger. it also doesn't help that the datasets are like trillions of terabytes so it can approximate really well (2/2)

@NikSaf_art @Neyunse it will not be the best right now because it's a percentage game first and foremost. if you don't have enough drawings fed to Glaze/NS before uploading, the output will be very close to your style. (1/2)

@Neyunse I definitely agree in the sense that I wish it didn't require GPU power to be usable as only artists with good GPUs can even use the tools at all. And since it's a percentage battle, we really need more artists and people to have easy access to it 🥲

@NikSaf_art @Neyunse It is! You're destroying the datasets. So keep going. I would recommend Nightshade too -- you can use that one for regular pictures!

@Neyunse Glaze is perfect for style protection, but it also adds to the poisoning. The more new art you make with Glaze and Nightshade, the harder it will be for these tools to easily replicate your work easily! I hope this helps 🫡 (3/3)

@Neyunse Hello! Although Glaze might only have a minimal effect to i2i tools, please keep using it because the target of Glaze and Nightshade is the datasets (servers)! The more you use it, the more difficult it will be for the tools to replicate your art (1/?)
