I remember very very clearly … both the dumps. The 3AC/inflation related dump when eth went to $800 and it was fcking over. The big capitulation on Maker was about to come…. Everyone thought $500 and lower was coming the moment MKR capitulated on its big loans. They were auctioning it off and everyone was on the edge. And then Tetranode and crew bought that auction capitulation and we shot up to $1000 all the way up to 2000 only to get destroyed by FTX yet again down to 1200.
I remember clearly when everyone had basically given up when BTC marched below $15k both times as hope was almost lost since the biggest exchange was down. I remember when CZ said they will take over FTX and market shot up like crazy only for him to say no sorry and that he tried. I remember when everyone was waiting for Saylor to be liquidated as the final dump on BTC. All hope on this app was lost except a few who came everyday and said they wouldn’t leave, kept building.
I remember when Solana went to $8 and entire community had almost given up. People left the ecosystem, left it to dry. It was Vitalik who tweeted out his support for Solana and we shot up and never saw under $10 again.
I remember those dark days and weeks. When every other asset was flying up and the entire world had given up on us. When there was no money to be made. I remember building at eth $1000 trying to convince people I am building a winery on the blockchain in the bear when nobody could raise any money in crypto and everyone laughed at me. Now who is laughing?
I remember when I was raising money for my hedge fund in the bear and everyone said crypto is done and wanted to pull their profits from my fund… now everyone wants back. Sorry not happening. When my community was down I built Weekly Wizdom in the depths of the pain so that nobody in my community will ever have to have a down day again. That even in the darkest times we will have each other. That we will always print and support each other regardless of market conditions.
The few who remained. The few who kept building. The few who never turned away.
We enjoy this moment now. This is our time. We deserve it,
