Both the two Crows Zero movies of Miike exhibit this quite finesse way of mounting a fight scene with little camera movement and coverage without being annoying. I think hand held "jarring" fight scenes are bullshit if you think about how much impact this very scene has

To expand on this, undercranking DOES NOT WORK if you as a performer don’t have good timing, rhythm, & shapes. Technically you should only be going 70-80% speed on a take. What matters is what I listed + acting and character motivation. The goal is to not make it look sped up!
