replies to this are crazy. quick thoughts: I literally built (and sold) a company to build safe medical LLMs because I don’t believe general models are safe for scaled healthcare use. I don’t have a newsletter or a product to shill you freaks. We now build better tools for providers. mri caught a disk issue in the spine that was leading to leg pain. one medical, Mayo Clinic, and others rotated me through constant leg mri’s and months of PT. not one checked the spine. of the dozens of DMs I’ve gotten, interesting that the MDs are the most willing to accept this as a reasonable vision for where healthcare is going. the “trust science” crowd is the least willing,

had undiagnosable chronic pain for 3 years. 24 doctors visits and about $7k in medical spend. finally found the issue with ChatGPT, a prenuvo scan (2k), and an anonymous twitter poster the system cannot continue as is

I started intermittent fasting in December. Happy to report I’ve lost over 33lbs. Most of it was from the Twitch20 and the Pandemic15 weight I never really got rid of. I fasted 18:6, changed my eating habits and I feel pretty fucking great. Pic from most recent stream.

@chrissyfarr Physician friends are launching 2nd opinion and concierge practices for exactly this reason. Too many forces at play muzzling doctors' actual opinion, requiring expensive and sometimes unnecessary tests. The lengths docs have to go to simply offer real care is crazy.

I had this insane idea that’s never going to work but hear me out… A medical app where you agree ahead of time to never sue & get the real advice. The best feedback I personally get is from physician friends, not telemedicine apps, and I suspect it’s partly bc of liability.

If you want to know wtf is wrong with healthcare, please pay attention to this thread. If you just want to be intellectually tickled riddle me this: If you employ 10% of the country's doctors AND your biggest margins are on prescriptions, what's your move?

Are you bootstrapping in healthcare? I would love to talk to you. Bootstrapping early stage until you are ready for a growth round is a current darling concept in mainstream tech, but I admittedly don’t see many examples in healthcare (outside clinicians starting private practices). Possibly bc of the unavoidable ops costs and long sales cycles in most businesses? Wondering if there is a “bootstrap lite” financing and/or low equity take studio structure needed in our industry.
