This shows the power of goal setting. In January, I could just about swim half a length of front crawl. I stuck at it as I started to really enjoy it and discovered many benefits. Today, after many goals along the way, I’ve reached my cumulative target of swimming 100km 🏊🏻‍♀️

It’s been a summer of exploring the UK, swimming 20k and, of course, a lot of reading. One more day and then I’m ready to hit the ground running!

I’m always proud of my Year 11s but today is another level! Their work ethic has been brilliant all year but their results demonstrate the resilience + determination they had during exams. The shocked faces + happy tears were priceless. They deserve every inch of their success 🤩

Two very different but equally brilliant Romeo & Juliet experiences this weekend. First I saw &Juliet which is an empowering musical full of pop songs which rewrites the famous ending. Last night I watched Baz Luhrmann’s film in the Union Chapel complete with a gospel choir!

A very magical end to the school year. It was so great to see the students in a totally different environment. They conducted themselves amazingly but most importantly they just had fun. They’re certainly braver than me when it comes to rides!

The Leavers’ Assembly today was a success and it was great to give Year 11 the send off they deserve. It’s been an absolute privilege being their Head of Year and I’m so proud of everything they’ve achieved. Next stop, Prom and Thorpe Park…🕺🏻🎢

A huge well done to Year 11 for sitting their first English exam today! I couldn’t be prouder of all the hard work they’ve put in since I started teaching them in Year 9. My first experience too of having a class go into an exam but they were all superstars🌟 Onto the next one…
