One particular gripe I have about 2025: Idris Elba played both a British prime minister and a U.S. president in movies this year and got a knighthood and these fools still haven't announced him as the next James Bond.

@PierrePoilievre The probability of someone invading your home is so small this is political theatre at best, and fear-mongering at worst. I would say you can do better... but you are unwilling to, so you won't.

The law needs to be clear. If someone invades your home, you have the right to defend your home and your family.

Today, the day after my 7-month anniversary at my job, I finally posted payroll to the G/L on payday. To say it has been a struggle is an understatement. I am so tired.

I almost missed this one last night - this morning, it had already wilted.

My no-longer-office hibiscus has bloomed for the first time since it moved indoors last fall!

For the first time in a good long while, I tried a new recipe. With modifications, of course.

When it became clear that my new job was going to be more demanding than expected, I abandoned all thoughts of knitting gifts this year. However, I did finish one gift - but it’s not a Christmas gift.

New lights for my lid. Can’t wait for the next late-night ride home from work. Which will likely be tomorrow.
