Emotional last day at my first placement today! hugs, smiles and tears (which made me cry) from the best children who’ve been a pleasure to teach! A leaving gift to them which was so small but seeing how happy they were made my day☺️ Now onto the next leg of this journey!

@MrTs_NQTs It’s mainly due to conflict with others during lunch time play, he struggles with the unstructured periods during these times and gets frustrated whilst playing with others, struggling to know how to help him during these play times

@misszsmith Is your child with ASC struggling with sensory overload? Are the pupils getting too close? Have you asked why they are hitting others? Social stories can be a good starting place. If you establish why the triggers you can use them to support the child to react in a different way.

Really struggling with an autistic child in my class being physical towards others due to anger, does anyone have any advice or strategies to support with this? @MrTs_NQTs

Any tips on behaviour/classroom management with Y1/2 very lively class? with 21/27 being boys so something that would engage and excite them? (some of them shrugged off the idea of stickers today) @MrTs_NQTs
