Being in a performing ensemble is the closest thing to a team sport there is! Being a part of a section, and that section being a part of the whole, the synergistic dynamic of producing, listening, and responding simultaneously - simply AMAZING! #bandtogether

One of my favorite philosophies of education is "Non scholae sed vitae discimus" ("We teach, not for school, but for life"). We teach music, not so students become professional musicians, but so they can be more complete, sensitive, well-rounded people! #bandtogether
