@CatScratchBeave @MS2PZ I guess it depends whether one uses BIDMAS, BODMAS or PEMDAS. My point was there are several ways which can be used each of which give different solutions. There are several of these ambiguous maths questions on line which are basically done to make money for the initiator.

@HMRCcustomers If they take it in 26/27 then the current tax code is wrong. I have repaid 10 months of it in 25/26 so not practical to change 25/26 code. By end March it will be clear. I think there is system fault somewhere because the latest request hasn’t recognised I am paying it in 25/26.

@mistermemoryman I see. If we've already worked out the tax you owe for 24/25 and will be adjusting your 26/27 tax code to collect that amount, it may be worthwhile asking an adviser to check that the tax code you're currently on is still correct. Thanks, Martin

@HMRCcustomers I owe a small sum of tax relating to 24/25 fiscal year which I am paying in my 25/26 tax code. They now tell me it will be adjusted in my 26/27 tax code but my 25/26 code has not been changed. They quote - underpayment.receipts.PUP-CODED-OUT.CANCELLED. Any ideas?

@HMRCcustomers I was notified of a print out on HMRC Portal. I think it is a bit contradictory because I already have a print out saying it is being taken with my 25/26 tax code, which it is. A bit ‘right hand’ not knowing what ‘left hand’ is doing I think.

Raising the #minimumwage will push young employees out of work.Employers will pay for more experienced employees at a little extra cost. #Teaching is falling into this trap because an #ECT is becoming expensive relevant to a more experienced teacher. Cheap labour is disappearing
