@VandyonTigers Meadows, ( and the entire offense) is not barreling. As a team they are disciplined at the plate ( Baez aside) but having the same issues. Their patience and discipline at the plate is above average but barrel and hard hit % are below avg. Once they figure it out they’ll rake.

4 quality starts and only 2 wins… that’s a problem. McKinstry needs to be in the lineup. Period. Baez STILL won’t adjust. When he gets his foot down at release, he’s productive — it’s not complicated. What exactly is the hitting staff watching?? Move McGonigle to SS. McKinstry to 3B. Let the best players play. Meadows’ hands are dropping under early… and his hand-eye is NOT elite. That’s a problem Let’s hope the weather stays away tomorrow!!! Go Tigers!

@Devoted2DET As far as batting average and strikeouts- go take a look at the stats of Judge, Harper, Jose Ramirez, Springer, Raleigh, Freeman and a handful of other hitters.

Riley Greene, Spencer Torkelson and Kerry Carpenter — the heart of the lineup — are batting a collective .150 (9-60) with 23 strikeouts over the first 6 games of the season. Yikes.
