Why does this exact question keep coming up? Did one dude suggest this idea this way on a Reddit post and now thousands of people are asking it in the exact same way? Seriously, this question used to be asked like “Why is there no sex or nudity in comics but lots of violence?” But now it’s always a question involving a nipple. Must be some viral Reddit post that creates countless copycats that can’t stop talking about this elusive nipple! 😂
The only reason people compare violence to sex or nudity is because of our manmade mature ratings, they shouldn’t compare to each other at all. You can have one without the other and still have a mature story.
Just because no nipples made it into the story, has nothing to do with the artists having fear. It’s simply not important for the story we are telling.
Gore on the other hand, I find it annoying to NOT show gore when it comes to battling super powered beings.
I’ve posted nudity here on X and my insta. Not afraid of it, it’s just that nudity and sex are just as effective to a story when it’s implied, instead of blatantly showing the entire act.
Gore on the other hand, shows the seriousness of the act, and like watching UFC, we want to see the whole fight to see who wins! And HOW they won. We want to see the close calls.
Anyway, I better get back to basking in this violent as fuck fight I’m making right now! No nipples, but good lord, the blood n guts! Maybe I’ll hide a nipple in the mayhem just for you! 😉
@quackity1408@Bunnyboop15@WandaWink02@estrogenyum@franmanifesto No, emergency could mean just birth emergency which most cases just the baby is at risk that’s why the baby is prioritized, but the mother isn’t ignored it’s not even legal to not try save both. They can’t choose who to save they HAVE to try both
when my obstetrics professor was like "in an emergency situation we do everything possible to save the baby" and i was like ".....and the mother 🤓" and she was like "well yes but the baby is our priority"
@waqiscool@xMCheshirex@estrogenyum@franmanifesto Of course the baby is going to be more of a priority in a birth the point is to get the baby safe and alive out the mother not keep mother alive because the mother will almost always be ok, both of them are priority, it’s illegal to not save the mother
@mitrvisan@xMCheshirex@estrogenyum@franmanifesto That is not what she said, The prof in here said their priority is keeping the baby alive. Then the girl said, the mother should also be a priority, but then the prof was like yes...but mostly the baby. ??? Both of them should be the priority, the mother more if she could die
@xMCheshirex@estrogenyum@franmanifesto Never did they state the woman was at risk and dying, because if the mother life is at risk than she becomes priority. But in a birth the priority is obviously the baby being born, because the mother isn’t at risk
@radenlavialenta@estrogenyum@franmanifesto The baby is the most vulnerable in this situation because she didn’t say the mother was dying, because if she is then obviously they’ll try to save her.
@mitrvisan@estrogenyum@franmanifesto What do you mean by "vulnerable"? Aren't you at your most vulnerable when you are about to die? And we should prioritise the person who has already been born and therefore is considered a person and has a right to live. Hope this helps.
@Bunnyboop15@mitrvisan@quackity1408@WandaWink02@estrogenyum@franmanifesto He doesn't understand the concept of vulnerability at all xd. The affirmation "a newborn is objectively more defenseless than an adult" is only true when the adult isn't at extreme risk of dying. Same risk, same vulnerability.
@Bunnyboop15@quackity1408@WandaWink02@estrogenyum@franmanifesto Yeah but then it’s illegal to not safe the mother as well, the OP didn’t mention the woman was dying, so in a birth the baby trying to be born is the priority obviously because the woman shouldn’t be at risk
@mitrvisan@quackity1408@WandaWink02@estrogenyum@franmanifesto If the adult in question is also actively dying then they're equally vulnerable in that situation. And as the other person said, the baby isn't even conscious or fully aware of what they're losing, the mother is.
@WandaWink02@quackity1408@estrogenyum@franmanifesto I really don’t think the setting the OP was describing meant the mother was also dying, in a process where the babies is being born of course the baby is the priority because the mom isn’t at risk, nothing was said that the mom was dying too
@suedoII You don’t even know if she has other children, she also took the risk of something happening when she got pregnant which the baby didn’t have a choice in the matter. And also plenty of mothers would be very happy to sacrifice themselves for their baby
@quackity1408@WandaWink02@estrogenyum@franmanifesto You’re criticizing ‘potential’ while using it yourself. Saying the mom could be a doctor/great person is also probability, not actuality. And if vulnerability is the metric, a newborn is objectively more defenseless than an adult.
@mitrvisan@WandaWink02@estrogenyum@franmanifesto you mentioned being a good person or wtv, im just saying that prioritizing a baby based on probability and not actuality is odd and illogical. how would a baby be more at risk or more vulnerable if both it and the mother are dying? and wdym “obvious reasons” lol be specific
@WandaWink02@estrogenyum@franmanifesto We’re not voluntarily killing another person, it’s an emergency situation, in which we prioritize not people that contribute more to society but the ones more at risk and more vulnerable.Your argument doesn’t work bc there’s not only one doctor in the world 2
@mitrvisan@estrogenyum@franmanifesto If we killed a doctor right now in exchange for a baby that ✨improbably lives longer✨, we would have to wait for 26 years before the minimum time for them to grow up and acquire a doctorate. The first doctor's patients would all die or suffer in that time
It's not utilitarian.
@quackity1408@WandaWink02@estrogenyum@franmanifesto Contributing more doesn’t make her a priority, in emergencies we don’t prioritize the person who contributes the most we do the most vulnerable, in this case the baby is way more at risk than a mother because of obvious reasons.
@mitrvisan@WandaWink02@estrogenyum@franmanifesto not really 😭 you can say it’s logical the other way around too. the fetus MAY end up being a good person in the future, but it’s not even around to do that. shouldn’t the woman be prioritized since they’re the one carrying? they’ve lived longer and contribute the most societally
@incelibrat@i_liketodraw_@loserthreener@franmanifesto Yes it does, it’s still a living being of course it matters, unborn or born. There’s born people with disabilities who aren’t even much conscious but they still matter, doesn’t matter if they’re aware they exist or not.
@avekoitar@loserthreener@franmanifesto Just because someone doesn’t like their life doesn’t mean it’s better dead, you shouldn’t be ok with a suicidal person wanting to commit suicide. I have friends from orphanages very happy to be alive, having a hard life doesn’t excuse killing yourself/others
@mitrvisan@loserthreener@franmanifesto go to your local orphanage and ask any kid from there if they’re happy to live. spoiler: you won’t like their answers
