All satellites confirmed contact with Earth

@FutureJurvetson @SpaceX @FutureJurvetson the @KeplerComms satellites on that launch already carry mass amounts of compute and laser links to connect those data centers to Earth

🚀 SpaceX just launched the first Twilight mission, a dedicated rideshare for all these satellites to a Dawn-Dusk Sun-Synchronous Orbit. This is the type of orbit that future data centers will fly to keep their solar panels from ever being occluded by shadow.

All 10 Kepler Communication satellites have now been deployed. Seen here, to the left of the image, is AETHER-3 being deployed.

For the first time in the 25-year history of the International Space Station, we’ve had a serious enough medical emergency in space to bring a crew home early. Big decision by @nasa leadership, with multiple domino impacts on operations, but I’m glad to see, as always, crew health and safety come first. The Station will be more vulnerable until the replacement crew of 4 can launch, but we have deep experience running the place with just 3 astronauts for a while. I hope the ill crew member gets safely home to full treatment, and has a speedy recovery.

Awesome to see @melaniejoly announce a historic $528.5M increase to Canada’s @esa investment at #SpaceBound2025. As the first Canadian prime contractor on an ESA contract through HydRON, @KeplerComms is ready to grow and deliver even more for Canada.

Tranche 1 is a go for launch this January — and it’s just the beginning. We’ve got a lot of exciting announcements coming over the next several weeks, but here’s a sneak peek. With Tranche 1, we’re deploying hosted payloads, a massive GPU cluster, optical routing, and RF comms.

Canada should be a leader in space. We can use industrial policy to get there. Canada has a proud 60-year heritage in the space sector creating mature space capabilities including being the 3rd country in space with the Alouette-1 satellite. However, in the last decade, even as the sector as a whole has advanced significantly, growth in Canada has stalled. A major factor holding back the industry is industrial policy and ineffective procurement. There is a strong ecosystem of both startups and world-class space companies in Canada, but no route to turn today’s new ventures into globally scaled winners. Canada has the talent, education, and track record needed to win in space. In addition, the current macroeconomic environment has left a void in global leadership, which Canada should claim as a neutral, globally trusted country. However, the country must have the right industrial policy. If the Canadian space industry is to reach its potential, it will require a clear strategy for investing in space to help our companies scale into the global champions they deserve to be. This means: Creating a national space strategy, having the government act as an anchor customer, decentralizing procurement, and reforming regulation. Claiming Canada's place in space is essential for the country's economic future, security, and sovereignty. We can use smart industrial policy to achieve this potential.
