The soldier who fired the shot will continue his day as usual, without accountability, without even a shred of feeling for what happened. As for Ritaj, she has become another number added to the long list of children killed without anyone paying attention. The most painful part is that the news never reached anyone; there was no outcry, no real attention. It is as if the world has grown accustomed to the deaths of our children… as if their loss no longer deserves to be told.
