Let's be clear. Eli Lilly should apologize for increasing the price of insulin by over 1,200% since 1996 to $275 while it costs less than $10 to manufacture. The inventors of insulin sold their patents in 1923 for $1 to save lives, not to make Eli Lilly's CEO obscenely rich.

All students at Colorado public schools will get free school meals, after voters passed a ballot measure Tuesday.
Currently about 70,000 Colorado kids can’t afford school meals but don’t qualify for free or reduced lunch programs.

Dartmouth grad workers are going up to $40k before a union contract because of union pressure. This proves two things: 1) Dartmouth absolutely needs a union. 2) The age of underpaying and overworking grad workers is ending. @FordhamNYC, are you listening?

Yesterday, Dartmouth administration announced a tentative raise that would increase our stipends by $400/month to $40,000 starting next academic year. Pressure from our union has clearly forced the administration to respond to pleas that grad workers have been making for years.
