@f1_bunnny @TruthF111 is engine the only development a team can make? merc still have a lot of performance to gain over corners wasn't talking about engine hence my point
English

@mitverse_ @TruthF111 Because technically merc having the best PU should not be able to upgrade it this year while Ferrari might be able to with ADUO
English

If Ferrari solve their battery deployment issues then it might be real closer to Merc in pace
They don’t have any ‘issues’ per se but it isn’t good enough to match Merc at this stage
Ferrari is stronger mid-corners but that’s also eating their tyres quicker than the Mercs

@kaiiesque @Sxne19iv2 Ngl bro if this happens we’re going to be even worse, ppl can’t seem to see it but I’ll be there for this city downfall under him. Not sure what the problem is in waiting for Kompany 2027, giving Maresca a big budget isn’t going to end well but cool cuz I’m clocking out ✌️
English

@oversteerbeast @thef1diplomat @DavidSB4_ @_kojo___ they’re quite literally similar looooool but ur response being an ad hominem fallacy tells me everything anyways✌️
English

@mitverse_ @thef1diplomat @DavidSB4_ @_kojo___ Similar? I’m not gonna bother arguing with you, you don’t understand anything about racing.

“Context for Charles when he performs bad but no context for other drivers”
This was the well documented issue of the Mercedes in Suzuka 2023 below

For this overtake alone you can never out Russell in the same tier as Leclerc, man best on the grid 😭
English

@oversteerbeast @thef1diplomat @DavidSB4_ @_kojo___ not sure why you see a difference in both of those overtakes because both overtakes are quite similar unless of course ur bias won’t let you accept it, but cool
English

@thef1diplomat @DavidSB4_ @mitverse_ @_kojo___ I am aware it was not a dig. My tweet is, as always, purely my opinion.
English

@DavidSB4_ @_kojo___ If you don’t find an issue that’s cool, he can praise the overtake without being obtuse and not trying to involve gr’s skillset right?
English

erm 😭😭😭 this can't be real comparison son
Victor@Vrdfr_
Will never understand how you can like Rodri but not like this guy
English

@effonecasualfan @thef1diplomat im so confused why you're hell bent on gr's contract being delayed everyone knows what toto was doing so what about it? the ship has sailed why on earth would merc want to self sabotage and perfectly fine project and environment when the current lineup wins both trophies?
English

Whichever way you cut it, it does appear that the George Russell-Mercedes partnership might not be a long one as many would ideally hope.
First of all, Kimi Antonelli, in just his second season of F1 is roughly within a couple of tenths of the experienced driver.
And this is not just any driver I'm talking about here, George Russell is one of the top 3 drivers in F1 right now and Kimi Antonelli is already keeping him in sight.
From this point, the only way for Kimi is upwards and the learning curve is still quite steep. He could very well reach a point where he's consistently challenging or even taking on George by the end of the year.
If Mercedes sticks with this combination and Kimi becomes a major player next season, we could potentially see a scenario where George starts getting the stepson treatment (that he arguably got in 2025 as well at times) and the younger driver starts taking over.
That's one scenario.
The other scenario is the return of Max Verstappen to Mercedes rumors.
It was as obvious as it could be last year that Toto Wolff is willing to roll out the Red carpet for Max should he want to join the team.
This year, it's an easier exit clause in place as reportedly he has to be within top 2 by mid-season.
Should that not happen and Verstappen feels that the Long-term future of Red Bull involves a period of rebuild, we could see him make a move to Mercedes..
As we've already seen last year, Toto is willing to let George go if it means Max can join, especially since Kimi is seemingly his pet project.
All lines do lead to a scenario where the George Russell-Mercedes partnership might not be a long one
English

@effonecasualfan And? he may have asked what's the situation so what about it? it's done and they moved past it, the point here is they won't be willing to pay such a enormous salary only to disrupt his "pet project" when his current lineup is more than capable of winning also what exit clause?🤨
English

@mitverse_ Because Toto put the plan in motion last season already by delaying Russell's contract and, reportedly adding an exit clause for 26,
Why? For Max's availability
English

@Sxne19iv2 you're gonna be running the same gimmick when someone else takes over in the future, unfortunately that's who you are, ppl never change even when they get what they wanted they move goalposts, you'll do the same.
