@RegionalTVCat People are more entrenched in their political bunkers now more so than even 2019. That comes before regional pride now unfortunately. That’s the main difference I see. I moved to the STL region in 2000 and think downtown is much better now with BPV, etc. Covid took a toll too.

In 2019 Kris Bryant called St. Louis boring and local folks were ticked. This week Mets broadcasters went into more detail, but essentially made similar comments and a lot of folks on social media agreed with them. Not judging the comments, but why the change in reaction?

@QuintonLucasKC My home of Memphis gets beat up a lot of all the smaller cities. St. Louis, like Memphis, has great food, music, sports, museums, parks etc. A very special city. Would rather live there then most of the booming, but bland cities that are in the top tier today.

I know there’s no city more dunked on internally and externally than StL, but I was downtown last week for a meeting, lunch, and dinner. Crowded at night w/a Blues game. Full spots on Wash Ave. Lunch hour pedestrian traffic. It doesn’t have NYC pedestrian activity, but few do.

@ShowMeFB Yes he has. There’s people that will defend him no matter what. We have the funds, but at some point players also like to compete for championships. After 6 years, he still hasn’t proven he can win against top 10 teams. The wilderness brotherhood sales pitch is over.

@3YearLetterman The SEC narrative is tired. Mizzou season ticket holder and we should have beaten both Bama and Vandy. And we were average but ranked most of the season without a win over a team with a winning record. Happy for Indiana and it proves good coaching still matters.

@MizzouAthletics is about to price me out of my @MizzouFootball tickets. My MAF donation was $250 per seat last year…… it’s now $600 per seat with an increase in ticket costs as well. Just brutal.

@STLBluesViews I’ll never understand the obsession some in STL have over people rooting for the Chiefs. I was a Chiefs fan after the Big Red left and before the Rams came and went. It’s been 10 years. Let it go. Our STL sports teams stink right now. Weird time to gloat.

I’m pro Drink. This isn’t blaming, it’s an observation. The biggest reason his teams haven’t taken the final leap is the QB position. They’ve had athletes on the outside. Great RBs. NFL corners. Way above average DEs. Not one QB stretching a defense

@notBSarver35 My point is that Pribula, Zollers. Horn, Macon, etc. are all guys recruited by Drinkwitz. It’s year 6 and the supposed offensive wizard hasn’t ever truly recruited a successful QB on his own. I would expect more for 10 mil/year.
