In September 2021, Kenneth Walker III and @ConnorHeyward1 came to my house for an appearance on my show.
We headed downstairs for the studio, which sits in the back corner of my MSU-themed basement.
The Spartans had just played their first game of the season, crushing Northwestern.
Kenneth Walker III torched the Wildcats, racking up 264 rush yards and 4 TD in his Spartan debut. I was excited to ask him about it.
Steps away from the studio doors, Walker stopped me.
“Excuse me, sir. Is it ok if I look around for a bit?”
The walls outside our studio are lined with paintings of MSU legends, game worn memorabilia, and other Spartan artifacts. Walker was riveted.
“I gotta learn about this stuff, it’s important.”
He had just transferred from Wake Forest, and Walker wanted to learn about his new home.
I started an impromptu tour, but soon realized they didn’t need me.
@ConnorHeyward1 has an encyclopedic knowledge of MSU’s athletics history, and he gladly took the lead.
“That’s Magic and Bird, we beat him in the national championship game,” Heyward explained.
“Wow, wow.”
“That’s Bubba Smith, he went 1st in the Draft,” Heyward said.
“Whoaaaaaaaa….”
The players walked around for a few minutes, occasionally asking questions about the pieces.
“I really appreciate this, this is so cool,” Walker said.
I was floored.
This kid had just become an overnight sensation, receiving universal praise on ESPN and congratulatory calls from Magic Johnson.
And here he was, thanking me for letting him look at my MSU collection. He was just grateful for a chance to learn about Spartan lore.
We eventually made our way into the studio, and the show was a blast.
As the young men departed, Walker stopped again.
“I really appreciate you having me. Thanks again for letting me look around.”
I can safely say Kenneth Walker III is the most humble person I’ve ever met.
And now, a Super Bowl MVP & champion.

Well this explains the Simpsons…
Margaret Groening died peacefully in her sleep on April 22, 2013, in Portland. Born Margaret Wiggum on March 23, 1919, in Chisholm, Minnesota, she was 94 years old. Margaret’s parents, Matt and Ingeborg Wiggum, met on the boat coming to America from Norway.
They settled in Everett, Washington, where the paper mill “smelled like money,” and Matt worked as a machinist. As high school valedictorian and Miss Everett, her highest honor was being named May Queen of Linfield College. She graduated in 1941 and married classmate Homer Groening, who she said made her laugh the most. Margaret taught high school English before starting a family, her love of language evident in the Double-Crostics she completed in ink. She and Homer supported the Oregon Symphony, the Portland Trail Blazers, and many local yarn shops.
This obituary reveals the real-life inspiration behind The Simpsons: Matt Groening, the show’s creator, named his characters after his own family, Homer and Marge Groening, and even the Wiggum surname for Chief Wiggum.
Matt Groening confirmed that “Bart” is an anagram of “Brat,” representing himself as the mischievous child in the family.

@luismbat This makes me wonder even more why they couldn't have just made it a 6am pick up. The darkness would have made the miscount at the vans even more realistic.

@financedystop Last 2 dealer trips: 1) the part they ordered was mislabeled on the box so I had to make a new appointment, waited 90 minutes for them to tell me that 2)their system went down so they couldn't program my car. For 3 days in a row I got a call that my car still wasn't ready.

@DavidHarns I'm confused by the 6, 7, and 8+ wins for $500,000. Since it doesn't say 6+ for $500K, does he get $500K for win 6, win 7, and win 8 ($1.5 Mil if he wins 8+)?
English

@RealFurioGiunta @DavidHarns @MSU_Battman Possible some of the $ momentum is tied to a coaching change and wouldn't happen with Smith?
English

@DavidHarns Too bad you couldn’t have given Smith those opportunities. @MSU_Battman knew from day 1 that he wasn’t going to keep Smith.

@CoachLGrove Always comes down to $. I'm sure some public school athletes would love to be playing Sunday but may have missed out due to the $ it takes to play for a private school.

@perry_pga @RobbyBerger Thank you for this information. I've been waiting!

@RobbyBerger Homeland was just added on Netflix and is an incredible CIA thriller

This is older than Rome by over 600 years.
It predates the Trojan War and the writing of the Iliad by several centuries.
It was crafted nearly a millennium before the Parthenon in Athens.
But that's just to put it into perspective. The really incredible thing is that it's made of wood!
Over 3,400 years old, the State Chariot of Pharaoh Thutmose IV.

@grok @tshirtlover23 @RamsNFL @grok why didn't you say this about the rule change in the 1st place to save me (and everyone) so much confusion?
English

Under 1994 NFL rules, no—a punt wasn't automatically dead upon crossing the goal line into the end zone. It remained live until downed by the receiving team or out of bounds. Bailey picked it up before that happened. The rule changed in 2004; now it's an automatic touchback if untouched in the end zone.

@That1LionsFan Should have had the ref say, "after the pay, the ruling on the field of no penalty is overruled"
