@phillyAloha @SHistorians @TheTsl Yes. We are going to be eliminating the trees (and paths) in the photo and wanted to add a hazard different than a bunker. These steeplechase "pews" were there 100 years ago and seemed appropriate to bring back.

@mjhodges @SHistorians @TheTsl So what is the idea behind this? Just make it hard if it’s hit there?

I often get asked what is a steeplechase hazard. Here is an original photo of the first golf course designed at Pinehurst Resort and it’s Victorian Steeplechase Hazard. @TheTsl was there when I acquired it from the Tufts Archive. I was insanely giddy that day!
