Allen does not make Cook. 15 won the MVP in 2022… He had the greatest MVP season of all time in 2022… immediately after Hill left. Set the record for most yards in a season (rushing and passing), won the SB and the SB MVP… without a single WR or RB over 1000 yards. Kelce had a great season, but so did Stephon Diggs. Kelce in 22: 110 rec 1,338 yards, 12 TDs Diggs in 22: 108 rec 1,429 yards, 11 TD Mahomes had a far better season despite Buffalo having arguably the better offensive depth after the top options of Kelce and Diggs.

So those were combined rushing yards and passing yards. Kelce hasn’t had a 1000 yard season since 2022 and no Chiefs receiver has had a 1000 yard season since 2021, and Mahomes has NEVER had a 1000 yard rusher. James Cook has been the best skill player on either team since 2023 and last year especially it wasn’t particularly close. Kelce is the GOAT TE but his yards per reception were 8.5 in 2024. Worthy was a rookie. Rice missed the season due to injury. Your argument falls apart when you look at the facts. Lastly, the Chiefs had the worse LT situation in football in 2024 and led the NFL in WR drops in 2023. Allen is amazing but comparing their numbers in a vaccuum isn’t player analysis. It’s fantasy football draft prep.

I accidentally deleted the wrong post while editing my last comment. You stated I wasn’t impartial for saying Mahomes was better, and that you were impartial since you weren’t a Bills or Chiefs fan. Here is my response to that. So your argument for Allen is based on speculation? If he had Mahomes’ HOF coach, TE etc… IMO the only way to justify picking Allen over Mahomes is to speculate about what if scenarios because the facts don’t support your conclusion. You are right that I am biased. I’m biased towards facts and evidence. If you think the reason Mahomes won in 22 and 23 is because of a Hall of Fame supporting cast then you are not watching the same game of football. You are watching a different sport. I’m not sure what it’s called, but it isn’t football. No one has elevated their teammates around them more than Patrick Mahomes, and your take is that the team and coaches around him have elevated him to 3 SBs. No one wins in team sports without their teammates, but some players elevate the players around them more than others. Mahomes is one of them. A lot like Jordan in that way. The Ravens had the NFL’s best defense by most metrics and were widely regarded as the league’s top overall defense. KC beat them in Baltimore. The Bills fielded a top-5 defense as well and KC beat them in Buffalo. The 49ers paired arguably the NFL’s best collection of offensive weapons with a top-3 scoring defense. KC overcame a 10 point deficit and won in OT on a walk off TD pass to win the SB. Mahomes is the biggest force multiplier in all of sports right now. I respect that you have a different opinion, but I think my opinion is supported by the numbers more than you gave me credit for. Kelce is a HOFer. Reid is a HOFer. Spags is a HOFer (should be based on his resume as a coordinator imo). But Kelce hasn’t had a 1000 yard season since 2022 and the Chiefs haven’t had a 1000 yard receiver since 2021 (2022 if you count Kelce as a TE). This doesn’t even factor in that Allen has had some of the best o-line play in football, especially at LT, which was a real issue for KC until recently. The interior line was stellar but the tackles (especially LT) were not great after 22. Allen is a great player, but he hasn’t proven he can elevate flawed teams like Mahomes can. That’s just a fact.
