To all high school basketball fans used to going to Koch Arena Wednesday-Saturday for state in Class 6A. It’s different this year! Tuesday quarterfinals at neutral sites.

Interesting stat. The Wellington girls have given up just four field goals in the last eight quarters. After blanking Rose Hill, Clearwater mustered two deuces and two treys against Wellington's vaunted defense. Crusaders won 53-16.

Schedules for every midseason tournament in the state next week. Tourneys at Frontenac, El Dorado and Flinthills Shootout won't be set until after Friday's games, so they will be updated. Some tournaments start tomorrow/Saturday so getting the schedules out there. Missing any?

Too many times scheme + personnel just don’t make sense. Lions come out in 11 personnel which normally Green Bay (and most teams) likes to go nickel against. Which is usually fine but this is at the 2 yard line. GB comes out with 2 defensive lineman. You’re in nickel, so ok, but there’s no way in hell you’re surviving a run with Hollins, Slaton, Brooks, and Enagbare as your first line of defense against 5 OL and a TE. Predictably the Lions run and it’s the easiest td ever.
