@N01987 @AerithsSeat I’ve been an RE fan since I was a kid. Cregger’s film sounds awesome. RE7 did essentially exactly what Cregger’s film is doing and it rejuvenated the series. There is a middle ground between Anderson’s films and a 1:1 adaptation of games that do not directly translate to film

@ZylnorWrath @kirkneverdied If anything I feel like it was too fast paced even for children. Even I, as an adult, was a bit thrown off by how much was going on by the end. The story doesn't need to be complex, it makes perfect sense for Mario to have a simple story. But this had SO much going on

@kirkneverdied I’d say the story was alright, at the end of the day it is written for children in minds obviously they aren’t going to have a convoluted story that children can’t follow.
My only complaint was the pacing an it feeling a bit rushed. But aside from that I’ll still watch it again.

There's a lot of room between "Turn your brain off"

This is something I don't think is really felt until youve played the game on VOS or hardcore. Villages combat is extremely claustrophobic and you're incentivized to master Ethan's movement and core defensive mechanics before leveraging your own offensive arsenal.

Hot take but I think resident evil village is the only RE game to successfully recreate the same combination of power and tension with its main gameplay design since re4. It understands that the og re4 isn't compelling just because Leon is strong but that you have to earn it.

@sephirothfr29 @hdwmovies Over half of the announcements were switch 1 or switch 1 compatible games which is a little frustrating when the switch 2 doesn’t really have a crazy amount of games that we know about on the horizon. I’m sure that’ll change soon enough though
