Losing a father at such a young age is deeply painful & lonely. I love how, as Prince grew older, he seemed to take more pride in his father, not just as a dad, but as a man and an entertainer. It feels like the older he got, the more he truly understood him. That’s so beautiful.

@shesdanger0us He got adicted to pain killers after the burn and it led to so many things later in his life like insomnia. Also a few times during rehearsal he collapsed from dehydration. I wish people around him wouldn't push him so much.

@mjsdoggone everything from him. The burns changed his life forever and in a few weeks he was performing as if nothing happened. That wasn’t the only time his health was neglected for his career. And I hate that people romanticize that, because it wasn’t ok.

and he died age 50 bc these performances took such a heavy toll on his physical and mental health. I fucking wish he had the opportunity to sit back and admire everything he accomplished, but he never got that chance because “never putting on a bad show” came before himself

@shesdanger0us They asked him to perform 50 shows for the This Is It comeback tour. He asked for 10 but the promotor asked for 50!! When he performed he was not just singing but he also did heavy choreography, he was like an athlete, 2 hours of sing and heavy dance would drain him so much
