i was in boston with a friend around a year ago and i saw some high schoolers bullying around the pigeons, very terrible, and i had never seen what i think were natural pigeons that beautiful in my life

its obviously been long enough that its healed and they seem as eager to be around as always, but i always believed the areas i saw pigeons most often in were already bad.. Ive never seen a group in such a poor state like these

i love and value birds so much since i started paying attention, and i only noticed since im in a new area, the bus terminal around here where the pigeons hang out, some are missing toes or whole legs, like walk on their stumps
